Introducing: the HGHC Community Collection
As a cancer girly, the feeling of isolation is the default. No one can really understand what it’s like to have your life on pause and fast forward at the same time, unless you’ve been through it.
But if you’re reading this, you probably have a loved one in the midst of their cancer journey.
You hate knowing they’re in pain, even though they put on a brave face.
But even though my friends and family didn’t have first-hand experience of what it’s like to have cancer, the fact that they tried to understand and support me during the worst time in my life meant so much to me.
Thoughtful care packages, rooftop takeout, jewelry-making nights, Erewhon smoothies, weighted plushies. I had always been the one to take care of others, and I had to learn how to accept it for myself. And I remember every single face that showed up in my hospital room and home afterwards, even on painkillers.
That’s why I made this Community Collection. It’s a way to show someone you love and support them without having to say anything at all.
Think: “I’m With Stupid” + “Stupid” coordinating best friend t-shirts from the 90s.
Super giftable: Wear it to the hospital. Wear it to the movie nights during treatment. Any time your loved one is having a hard time, it’s an easy way to show your support in a way that sticks.
